My hair is dark brown and I use a semi-permanent to hide my few gray hairs. I had read, if unsure of which shade to select, to go lighter, you can always dye the extension darker, but you can never make it lighter. When my extensions arrived, I just want to say PERFECT!! I absolutely love them, get tons of compliments on my hair, but no one knows they're in. I straighten my extension, giving my hair volume and a slight increase in length. I ended up buying a spare, so I always have clean extensions on. Pros:Wispy ends make it incredibly natural looking
