I'd to say that any sort of extensions or hair extensions should probably be reserved for those who are very skilled at styling their own hair. If you are someone with a lot of confidence in styling your own hair, then you probably will really like these. I followed the instructions and washed and conditioned them. Then, just as I would my own hair, I applied a leave in conditioner and used my hair dryer to blow them dry straight. I wanted a blunt bang to wear with a pony tail. One thing I noticed is that if you comb all the hair forward, the extensions in extension is quite noticable. To remedy this, I separated the extensions about midway between the front and back, and combed the long strands back. This totally hid the extension and also is very good to help the extension blend in with your natural hair. I then flat ironed the extensions before cutting them to the shape I wanted. With the long strands held back in my ponytail, they look completely natural and uber cute.
